Saffron is a spice derived from the bright red stigmas of the Crocus Sativus flower. Acclaimed for its complex flavor, saffron has long been a sought after delicacy.

Why Persian Saffron?
Native to the Mediterranean area, Saffron thrives in extreme climate. Besides the required flat land and lack of trees, saffron needs summers to be very hot and dry, and winters to be cold. With these preferred growing conditions, Ghaen makes the perfect home to saffron fields, producing up to 95% of the world’s saffron.
The sorting, packaging, and importing of our saffron follows and meets Standard ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 3632.
